So when a friend gifted me this smoke box, I decided to try to do something similar using a Coach wristlet.

The result is what you see in the video and was a proof of concept (1 of 1) that turned out reasonably well.

Prior to that accident, I think it’s safe to say that I had a healthy disrespect for how truly dangerous motorsport can be. On one hand that’s a good thing because it allows you to approach the endeavor without fear or trepidation. On the other hand it can allow you to exceed your abilities in a way that puts your life in danger as well as that of your fellow drivers.

In coming across this video, and central to my reason for posting, is that I realized how much I truly love motorsport as a participant. I’m not quite sure I’ve ever come across another activity that gave me the exhilarating high that comes from driving at highspeed on a racetrack.

Here’s to hoping that I get to experience this again before I go off into the aether.

Even after skating for a few years there’s always something to work on hoping that it results in going faster, getting higher, feeling better situated on the board and ultimately ending up with a style that is uniquely my own.

This short video was a compilation I put together after a session at Deerfield Skatepark in July of 2021. It was proof to myself that I was actually making progress on getting higher up the wall resulting in much faster, stronger runs.

Back in April of 2021 we got a little bit of a break in the weather and I was able to get out for the first skate session of the year. I decided to do a little filming to see if I could piece together a skate video using iMovie. This is the result.
